Take the ECON challenge while helping an entrepreneur in a developing country.
Since publishing in May, ECON for Microeconomics and ECON for Macroeconomics from South-Western’s 4LTR Press is causing quite a stir around the country.
Will the market respond to a book which is:
- designed from careful research including interviewing hundreds of students about work and study habits.
- written by a best selling principles author.
- priced at about half of what a traditional text costs?
So far, it seems so. We published these ECON titles in May (well after most fall book selection deadlines) and still got these texts adopted at about 100 schools!
Take the ECON challenge with your students and we will give you a $100 gift certificate to help an entrepreneur in a developing country through the KIVA Micro-Lending site.
Make it a class project - have your students get on the site and research the projects in need of funding and the topic of micro-lending in general.
Here is how it works. We will send you a class quantity of our preview guide. You and your students will receive Chapter 3, Economic Decision Makers, the review card for that chapter, and access to all of the Web resources for that chapter.
We think you’ll find that ECON is the complete package – a best-selling author, a fresh approach to teaching and learning economics, a better price, and superior online resources!
After the class, we will ask that you and your students complete a very brief online survey – and that’s it!
We have a limited number of preview guides so please respond ASAP to John.Carey@cengage.com if you are interested.
Let us know your school, book in use, and enrollment when you contact us.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
John Carey
