First Day of Class Instructions — IMPORTANT
THANK YOU for choosing ECON as the teaching and learning solution for your Principles of Microeconomics course. We are confident that you and your students will enjoy this solution and find unprecedented success with the ECON experience. To ensure that your students are as successful as they can be, we recommend that you do the following things BEFORE your course begins:
You can help us keep the costs of educational materials low. Access to the online learning assets for ECON is only available through the purchase of a NEW book. Online access is NOT sold separately; students who choose to buy a used book will not be able to benefit from our engaging online resources such as online quizzes, flashcards, video clips, and more.
Before the first day of class: please let your students know that access to 4ltrpress.cengage.com/econ is available only with the purchase of a NEW textbook. We recommend that you also communicate this information through your syllabus, course website or via e-mail.
On the first day of class: please encourage students to purchase a new book so they can benefit from the online resources. Show them the demo of online resources available at 4ltrpress.cengage.com/econ or invite your Cengage Learning representative to your first day of class so that he or she may demonstrate the vast array of online tools that will help reinforce your students' learning, hopefully leading to a better grade and outcome.
For your convenience, we have attached an ECON PowerPoint Introduction slide show for use the first day of class. You can also schedule a demonstration of the online assets with your local sales representative. If you have any questions, please contact your local sales representative or the ECON product team.
If your student has already purchased a used text, please let them know they have the option of returning the used book to the bookstore and then can purchase a new ECON text complete with access to the online resources.
